Wednesday, May 1st

Bring your friends (or come by yourself) and spend your Wednesday night at an event where you know everyone else is there for the same reason.

We'll be offering "big talk" conversational prompts on them to get you started, and we'll have lots of structure to make sure that you actually talk to people and that it's not awkward. Not feeling like answering a particular question? No worries, we'll have plenty to choose from, like, "When are you the happiest?" and, "If you were going to become close friends with me, what would I need to know about you?" We'll give you ground rules to make sure you feel comfortable and safe sharing as much of yourself as possible while still feeling in complete control of how much you divulge.

There will be food and drinks for sale.

Mark your calendar for  South Baltimore Brewery District is hosting an all-day event at the four breweries. We’ll have a limited edition glass for sale that day that includes a free pint and also t-shirts available. Start at Checkerspot from 12 - 3pm with DJ Mudbone and lunch (kitchen opens at noon too). We have 2 special beer releases!! Each brewery will have special beer releases, music and more!

Dynamic duo, Kirk & Marianne are hosting their very first
YAPPY HOUR and you AND your dog are invited! They will broadcast live and hand out prizes for PAWesome good contests like Best Pet Tricks, Pet Costume Contest and so much more.

Saturday, May 11th

Join Bob, Nick, and Zach for a live episode of Orioles on The Verge at Checkerspot Brewing. We'll have guests, a Q&A with the hosts, and more before the Orioles take on the Diamondbacks at 4:05.

Checkerspot will have the game on, so plan to stick around after the show. Have tickets to the O's game that day? No problem. Checkerspot is located a short distance from the ballpark, and makes for a perfect pregame destination.

Wednesday, May 15th
7-8PM

Dancing to 80’s and 90’s music, participants will dance in an hour-long beginning - intermediate ballet class. Those of legal age are invited to purchase a brew and take their place at the bar. Afterward, join us at our "After Brew Hangout" to meet new folks, chat about class, and enjoy a new brew.

Throughout this tasting you will learn about both the science and creativity behind the brewing industry. The menu is predetermined by Judy in hopes to expand your pallet and understanding for each beer style.

Save the date for our 6th anniversary party! We will travel back in time with all of our anniversary beers on tap. We will have live bands and DJs all day. Step outside and immerse yourself in a bustling hub of local vendors that embrace the core values of Checkerspot. Our vendors offer female-owned, family friendly, dog friendly, and/or nature inspired goods.

Bring your whole family, friends and pets to raise a glass to another year of brewing in Baltimore.

Greg's Shitty Trivia is in the house every Thursday, serving you some of the funniest, craziest trivia in town.

Games start at 8 PM. Tables and chairs are first-come, first-serve.
