ABOUT US

Dave Picarillo and Bruce Walton, two traveling consultants who shared a passion for home brewing and beer, had always talked about opening their own craft brewery. After years of planning and searching for the perfect location, they stumbled upon an old barn in Meredith, NH, during a brewery tour in 2017. The barn, built in 1850, turned out to be two barns joined together, and it became the ideal spot to bring their dream to life. Thus, Twin Barns Brewing was born in 2018. Located just a short distance from Lake Winnipesaukee, their brewpub offers a range of delicious craft beers made with quality ingredients and a whole lot of passion. Come on over and taste for yourself!

  • CO-FOUNDER

Bruce is a co-founder of Twin Barns and is a Boston native who spent his childhood years going to camp on Lake Winnipesaukee and has fond memories of sailing, swimming, and fishing in Meredith Bay. He has home-brewed for years and always wanted to give it a try on a larger scale. When he had the opportunity to combine his love for Meredith and the Lakes Region with his passion for brewing (and drinking) beer, he couldn’t resist. An avid outdoorsman, when he’s not in the brewery “helping” Sam, you’ll find him back on the lake, or in the mountains either hiking in the summer or snowboarding in the winter. Twin Barns is a dream formed over 20 years with his friend and Co-Founder Dave and the two are thrilled to have had it come true.

  • CO-FOUNDER

Dave is the one of the co-founders of Twin Barns Brewing Company. He was raised in the Boston area but fell in love with the Lakes Region after a childhood family vacation. In 2001, Dave and his family bought a small cabin on the lake and have spent every free moment there since. Although a home brewer for many years, it was not until a brewery tour in New Hampshire with his partner Bruce that a plan came together for their own brewery, and realization of their dream was possible. On days that he is not at the Brewery, you will be able to find Dave hanging out on Lake Winnipesaukee or in the White Mountains. He is an avid hiker, well on his way to completing the New Hampshire 48 - 4000K footers. Don't worry, he will probably be carrying some Twin Barns beer to enjoy at the summit.

  • HEAD BREWER

Randy is a born-and-raised Lakes Region kid, growing up on Merrymeeting Lake in New Durham. In high school, Randy fell in love with sports writing and earned his degree in journalism at Keene State College. Randy worked for a few newspapers in New Hampshire after college, but on the side started to dive into home brewing. That new passion inspired him to quit his job, sell most of his belongings and move to Colorado to find a job in the beer industry. He landed with Wiley Roots Brewing Co. (Greeley, Colo.), where he was a Swiss Army Knife and was able to learn a variety of aspects of the craft beer industry. His time in Colorado was short-lived, however, as he was offered the head brewer job at Hobbs Tavern & Brewing Co. in West Ossipee, N.H. For three and a half years, Randy experimented with every beer style that piqued his interest, learning the ins and outs of ingredients and the process involved with fine-tuning beer. While at Hobbs, Randy won two medals -- a bronze and a silver -- for his saison at the Great American Beer Festival. While there is no particular style of beer he loves to brew or drink exclusively, he does love the wide world of traditional lagers, farmhouse-style beers, and West Coast-style IPAs. When Randy isn’t brewing, he’s probably watching baseball, explaining why J.D. Drew wasn’t overrated, or defending Tom Brady until the end of time.

  • GENERAL MANAGER

Alisha is a local, raised in the Lakes Region. She got a very early start in the service industry as a ‘beer-tender’, delivering beers for quarters to her uncles at the family camp. Since then, she has spent the better part of a decade as a General Manager for a popular NH restaurant family. A lover of silver tequila and world travel, she has never visited a beach she didn’t fall in love with, or a castle she didn’t want to move into. Although she hates shoveling, she will happily spend hours on a snowy hiking trail. Her thumb is perpetually black, and she couldn’t keep a plant alive if her own life depended on it. She is obsessed with her Australian Shepherd and will argue to the ends of the earth that dogs are better than cats.

  • BRAND & EXPERIENCE MANAGER

Erin was born and raised in the Mount Washington Valley and after spending 4 years on the Northshore of MA attending college, she decided that the MWV was the place to be! When she’s not working, you can find her racing her way down the snow-covered mountains – on TWO planks, not one – with the unpopular opinion that the colder months are better than the hot ones. BUT; when the white stuff turns green, she’s suffering through the heat on the links where her swing is as unpredictable as the New England weather. The best thing about both of these sports is that having a cold one in hand is ALWAYS encouraged. While skiing and golf are just two of her passions, her teenage daughter has made her an avid musical theatre fan! If they aren’t in NYC catching a show, you’ll find Erin in the audience of a local theater performance where her daughter is most likely gracing the stage. The rest of her spare time is spent adventuring with Scott and Lola Marie (their bulldog), hanging with friends around a fire - trying out a new recipe, that we’ll probably only ever make that one time - and watching football – Go Pats! Keep your eyes peeled for her handsome devil “brother” in the blue – he’s a TBBC Mug Club Member!

  • NORTH TAPROOM LEAD

Luke grew up on the North Shore of Massachusetts but relocated to the Lakes Region after graduating from Plymouth State University. Prior to joining the team at Twin Barns, Luke wasn’t a fan of beer; although his first TBBC brew, Bear Island, led him to discover the joy that is craft beer. When he isn’t behind the bar pouring beers you can find him down in the cellar canning your favorite Twin Barns brews! In his free time he’s hitting the links, the lakes or the slopes!

  • SALES & DISTRIBUTION MGR

Chelsea grew up in the Lakes Region. After time away for college, she decided to come home to the area she loves. She spent her childhood playing sports and enjoying the outdoors with her siblings. She played college soccer and now coaches the Varsity Girls’ team at a local high school. She is a huge New England sports fan, loves snowboarding in the winter, and she really, really likes pizza. If she isn’t at Twin Barns, you can usually find her smiling on top of a mountain, sipping a Lake Cruiser with her fur baby, Khaleesi.
