October 26, 2026 · Costa Mesa, CA Orange County just picked up a new place to settle in with a pint. Ambitious Ales, the friendly neighborhood brewery from Long Beach, opened its second taproom at The LAB Anti-Mall in Costa Mesa with a grand opening weekend on October 24 and 25, 2026. The new tasting room sits at 696 Randolph Ave., Suite B, on the back side of The LAB. It joins the original Ambitious Ales taproom at 4019 Atlantic Ave. in Long Beach. The Costa Mesa tap list leans into the clean lagers and hop-forward beers the brewery is known for. Look for Professional Human Being, a double dry hopped hazy IPA that won GABF gold in 2024, and Central Perk, a coffee blonde with vanilla that took GABF bronze in 2019. Lager fans can work through Gandalf the Crisp, a New Zealand style pilsner, and Bohemian Spaceman, a Czech dark lager. For something different, Calamansi Corner is a fruited gose with calamansi, cucumber and sea salt, and Ube Bay is an ube ale with coconut and vanilla. The taproom is open seven days a week: 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday. The brewery books food pop-ups and vendors, so check its social channels for who is cooking on a given day. If you have been meaning to make the drive to Long Beach for Ambitious Ales, the beer just got a lot closer for Orange County. Stop in after a walk around The LAB and start with a flight.
