Copper State Beer Festival Takes Over Mesa's Sloan Park Jan. 16

New

November 2, 2026 · Mesa, AZ

Arizona's biggest beer party has a new home field. The Copper State Beer Festival returns on Saturday, January 16, 2027, and for the first time it takes over Sloan Park, the spring training home of the Chicago Cubs at 2330 W. Rio Salado Pkwy. in Mesa.

What's pouring

Organizers are lining up more than 100 craft beverage makers, a mix of breweries, wineries, cideries and distilleries spread across the ballpark. Barrel-aged fans should look for The Barrel Room, a lounge set up in the stadium's suites with pours from Horus Aged Ales, Tripping Animals and Catalyst Crafted Ales. Participating brands are being announced as they sign on.

More than beer

This is year six for the festival, and the stadium setting brings live music, DJs, games, live art and outfield lawns to spread out on. Local food trucks will be serving, and a makers market showcases Arizona small businesses. Bring a blanket for the grass, since outside chairs are not allowed.

When to go

The festival runs from noon to 5 p.m., with entry times staggered by ticket tier. It is strictly 21 and over, and organizers expect a sellout, so buying ahead online is the safe move. The festival's beneficiary is the Beer Babes Family, a charity that supports women working in the beer industry.

Bottom line

A January afternoon in the Arizona sun, a ballpark full of beer and a few barrel-aged stouts worth hunting down. Mark January 16 and plan your ride to Mesa.
