October 16, 2026 · Denver, CO

The loudest beer festival on the calendar is heading back to Colorado. Decibel Magazine Metal and Beer Fest: Denver returns for its fifth round on Friday and Saturday, December 4-5, 2026, at the Fillmore Auditorium.

The beer lineup

Pours are presented by 3 Floyds Brewing of Indiana. Featured breweries and a meadery include WarPigs Brewing (IN), XUL Beer Company (TN), Brimming Horn Meadery (DE), Bear Cult Brewing Co. (DE), Odell Brewing Co. (CO), Zymos Brewing (CO), Surly Brewing Co. (MN), and Left Hand Brewing (CO), plus pours from Denver's Ratio Beerworks.

The music

Crossover thrash legends Suicidal Tendencies headline Friday, December 4, joined by Pig Destroyer (a 25th anniversary Prowler in the Yard set), Cro-Mags (a 40th anniversary The Age of Quarrel set), Black Breath, and Haggus. Southern doom supergroup Down headlines Saturday, December 5, in their first Denver appearance in over 12 years, with Kylesa, Wayfarer, Intronaut, and In the Company of Serpents.

An official pre-fest at Ratio Beerworks on Larimer Street on Thursday, December 3, features Clusterfux, Axeslasher, and Victim of Fire. Entry to the pre-fest comes with the three-day pass, which Decibel says is down to very limited numbers.

How tickets work

The "Metal and Beer" ticket includes the day's show plus unlimited sampling in an official festival cup, while the "Just Metal" ticket covers the show only. Single-day, two-day, and three-day options are on sale, and all tickets are 21+. Decibel notes that some high-ABV pours may be ticketed in limited numbers.

Bottom line

If your ideal beer festival comes with a mosh pit, the Fillmore on December 4-5 is where Denver's heaviest weekend of the year happens.
