Hidden Brewery Brings Beers Worth Finding to a Former Middlesex Factory

New

October 29, 2026 · Middlesex, NJ

The name is a good hint. Hidden Brewery, Middlesex's newest craft brewery, is tucked among manufacturing sites inside a former early-1900s bearing factory at 600A Lincoln Blvd. in Middlesex, New Jersey. It has been pouring since early August and made it official with a grand opening and ribbon-cutting on October 10, 2026.

Finding it

Look for the Tap Room door, which is the way in. Inside you will find exposed brick, an open bar and a taproom built for hanging out. If the lot is full, the brewery runs an overflow parking area across the street.

What's pouring

The tagline is Beers Worth Finding, and the rotating list covers a lot of ground. Recent taps included Won't Last Long, a Kolsch; 261, a saison; Lost Memories, a hazy IPA; This Old Building, an oatmeal stout also served on nitro; Utterly Confused, a milk stout; Identity Crisis, a Belgian strong ale; and Failure to Communicate, an American pale ale. The list changes with the seasons, and select beers go home in 32-ounce crowlers.

When to go

The taproom is open Friday from 4 to 9 p.m., Saturday from noon to 10 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m. It is closed Monday through Thursday. New Jersey rules keep breweries from serving food, so bring your own or order in from a local restaurant. Families are welcome, while pets are not, since the brewery is indoors only.

Bottom line

Managing partners Michael Kuderka and Bill Sahlin opened a brewery at a time when many are closing, and they built it around sharing the beers they love. A weekend pint by the brick walls is the best way to say welcome.
