October 23, 2026 · Wilsonville, OR After years of brewing without a permanent home, Norte Beer has landed in Wilsonville. Norte Taproom and Food Hall is open at 9749 SW Barber Street, on the ground floor of the Vuela development next to the Wilsonville Transit Center, and it celebrated its official grand opening on October 3. Norte's roots trace to a brewing project connected to Zoiglhaus Brewing and brewer Nick Velasquez, whose Latino heritage helped shape the brand. Once known as Cerveceria Norte, it now goes simply by Norte. The core lineup is a Mexican-style lager, a Mexican-style dark lager, and an IPA, with seasonals such as Calabaza Cabeza pumpkin porter and a mole stout. The space pairs the bar with food vendors, including Nino's Birrieria in its first brick-and-mortar home, Pono Lei's Hawaiian food, and Hamara Indian Kitchen. Norte describes itself as a neighborhood cerveceria, made to be shared. Vuela is a 121-unit mixed-use development with affordable housing, community services, and transit amenities, so commuters, neighbors, and families can all walk right in. Norte is open daily from noon to 9 p.m. Vuela means "to soar," and for Norte it became a place to land. Grab a Mexican-style lager and a plate of birria by the Wilsonville Transit Center.
