Rhode Island's biggest winter beer party is back on the calendar. The 14th annual Rhode Island Brew Fest returns on Saturday, January 30, 2027, to the Main Hall of the WaterFire Arts Center at 475 Valley St. in Providence, the festival's home since 2019.

What's pouring

Organizers are lining up more than 50 local and national breweries pouring over 200 styles of beer. Samples are included with entry, food vendors will be on hand with tastes and heartier plates for purchase, and every guest picks up a custom pint glass on the way out.

Pick your session

There are two three-hour sessions: 1 to 4 p.m. and 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Check-in opens half an hour before each session. The festival itself is indoors, but the line often wraps outside the building, so dress for a Providence winter.

Good to know

The fest is 21 and over with IDs checked at the door, and dogs are not allowed unless they are service animals. Parking is on site at the Arts Center and in nearby lots on a first come, first served basis, and organizers encourage everyone to plan a ride home. Participating breweries are being announced on a rolling basis.

Bottom line

If January in New England has you looking for a reason to get out of the house, a few hours of sampling inside the WaterFire Arts Center on January 30 is a pretty good one.
