GABF lands October 10–11 at Levitt Pavilion (1380 W. Florida Ave.), with sessions noon to 4 p.m. both days. The Brewers Association moved the fest outdoors this year for a more open layout and easier access to the pouring booths. Tickets are also cheaper than recent years, starting around $66.53 all-in for a single day, with two-day, designated-driver, and Festival + PAIRED options available. Your ticket still includes a tasting glass and unlimited samples, plus live music. Co-founder Patrick Staggs told the Cape Gazette the space has 16 beers on tap, indoor and outdoor seating, and food from the Da Nizza truck. Live music Fridays, trivia, and other regulars from the old spot are continuing. Production still mostly runs out of Georgetown, with a small-batch system at the new location. Hotel guests get discounts through the Waypoint partnership. If you’re beach-bound on the Delaware coast, this is a clean stop for a flight and a bite. Laurel Haven Estate Vineyard & Winery in Lancaster, South Carolina, is opening its brewery September 26 from noon to 5 p.m. as part of an Oktoberfest celebration. Opening-day house beers include an Oktoberfest Märzen, Lancaster Lager, Carolina Clay Hazy IPA, and Estate Wheat Ale, with more styles lined up after launch. It’s a wine-country day that now has beer too, which is a nice combo for mixed groups. Live music and a vineyard setting make it an easy afternoon trip if you’re in the Carolinas. In Florida, Broken Beaver Brewing’s grand opening is set for September 26 in downtown Plant City. Partners Sean Colleran, Robbie Reed, and Jason Jones told the Plant City Observer it’s the first on-site beer manufacturing in town in more than a century. The project also ties in Ellie-B’s ice cream and a coming barbecue spot, so it’s built as a hangout, not just a pour counter. Early house pours include a coffee brown ale, peach ring sour, horchata rice ale, and a blueberry seltzer, plus guest taps. Regular hours after opening run into evenings most days, with weekend daytime starts. Good news if you’re hunting new Florida taprooms south of Tampa.
