Yuengling & Son releases Peanut Butter Porter, number 19 in its small-batch Eagle Series, on Thursday, October 15 at the Yuengling Gift Shop in Pottsville, Pennsylvania. Beer purchases run from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., while supplies last. Yuengling built the new beer on the roasted malt character of its Dark Brewed Porter, then added roasted peanut and cocoa flavors with a peanut butter cup in mind. The brewery describes fresh peanut butter on the nose, creamy, nutty flavors, and subtle chocolate notes, finishing malty and balanced rather than overly sweet. The release artwork sums it up in three words: rich, creamy, smooth. Yuengling has not listed an ABV in its announcement. The Eagle Series is Yuengling's rotating run of limited, small-batch specialty beers, released at the brewery in Pottsville. This year's lineup on the brewery's Pottsville event calendar has included Bourbon Barrel in January, Strawberry Blonde Ale in February, a Stout in March, Polska Pilsner in April, and Blueberry in September. After Peanut Butter Porter, the next release on the calendar is a Cranberry Sour on Thursday, November 19.
